I've been getting a lot of questions about what movies and shows I've been watching right now since we're all stuck at home soooo I came up with a list of my top ten movies both Hollywood and Bollywood. I included some new and some old to give some variety, I also tried to choose movies that people probably haven't seen yet either. My taste in movies is all over the place, I'm a huge fan of mob movies and also cheesy rom-coms and everything in between. I also put the storylines under the movie posters so it makes it easier for you guys to read and see if you're interested! These are just suggestions that I have, so let me know if you guys watch any! I'm also open to suggestions too so message me with any that you have!

***all movie poster images below are linked to trailers, just click on the image and it will take you to the trailer!***

THE MOVIES

1. The Irishman

mafia/crime

"This biographical crime thriller follows Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro) as he recalls his past years working for the Bufalino crime family. Now older, the WWII veteran once again reflects on his most prolific hits and, in particular, considers his involvement with his good friend Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance in 1975." credit

**If you know me, you know the fact that I have watched literally every single mob movie/tv show out there. I am obsessed with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta---the list goes on. So it's a no-brainer that I absolutely loved this movie. It was shot in more of an epic style like the og movies so it's super long but definitely worth it.

2. The Hate U Give

drama/crime

"Starr Carter is constantly switching between two worlds: the poor, mostly black, neighborhood where she lives and the rich, mostly white, prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Now, facing pressures from all sides of the community, Starr must find her voice and stand up for what's right." credit

**I really enjoyed this movie because there's a little bit of everything involved. There's humor, drama, romance, and crime. The plot is really good too and keeps you on your toes.

3. Annihilation

sci-fi/horror

"Lena, a biologist and former soldier, joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X -- a sinister and mysterious phenomenon that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside, the expedition discovers a world of mutated landscapes and creatures, as dangerous as it is beautiful, that threatens both their lives and their sanity." credit

4. Blood Father

thriller/action

"An ex-convict (Mel Gibson) and his estranged daughter go on the run from her drug-dealing boyfriend and his vicious cartel." credit

5. Devil

horror/thriller

"Five strangers' day begins with an elevator ride in a Philadelphia office tower. But, what happens next is anything but ordinary. The elevator gets stuck, and the trapped passengers, who expected to be together just a few minutes, now face the revelation of their secrets and transgressions. Frightening events turn annoyance into terror, as they begin to realize that one of their number is Lucifer himself." credit

6. Blow

crime

"In the turbulence of the 1970s, the international drug trade underwent a fast, violent and lucrative revolution - and one ordinary American was at its center. But in just a few short years, George Jung (Johnny Depp), a high-school football star single handedly became the world's premiere importer of cocaine from Colombia's Medellin cartel, changing the course of an entire generation. "Blow" is a high-velocity look at George Jung's spectacular rise and fall." credit

7. Spenser Confidential

action/drama/comedy

"To unravel a twisted murder conspiracy, a former police detective returns to Boston's criminal underworld." credit

**Okay guys in all honesty, this movie isn't the best one out there, in my opinion. However, I do think it's a good watch for when you're really bored and you just want to busy yourself with something or you can turn it on while you cook or workout. It doesn't have a crazy intense storyline that you have to keep up with or that you'll be really intrigued by. I like Mark Wahlberg which is why I watched it in the first place.

8. Second Act

romance/comedy

"Value Shop assistant manager Maya Vargas wants only one thing for her 43rd birthday -- a promotion. While her résumé may not scream upper management, her track record certainly does. Vargas is an innovator who listens to her customers and delivers results. When she loses the job to a college-educated candidate, Maya sets out to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts -- and it's never too late for a second act." credit

**Little bit of a chick flick but also really good to watch in general when you need a pick me up or you need a good laugh. It gave me slight "Legally Blonde" vibes except with JLo and Vanessa Hudgens.

9. Made of Honor

romance/comedy

"Always shy of commitment, Tom (Patrick Dempsey) lives as a serial dater. Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), his best friend, has wanted to marry and now has found Mr. Right -- just as Tom realizes he really loves Hannah. When she asks him to be in her bridal party, Tom seizes the opportunity to prevent the nuptials and woo her himself." credit

**A twist on the original My Best Friend's Wedding (and if you haven't seen that--watch it!!). This is a super duper chick flick but also really cute and funny, definitely give it a go when you're in your feels.

10. Something Borrowed

romance/comedy

"Though Rachel is a successful attorney and a loyal, generous friend, she is still single. After one drink too many at her 30th-birthday celebration, Rachel unexpectedly falls into bed with her longtime crush, Dex -- who happens to be engaged to her best friend, Darcy. Ramifications of the liaison threaten to destroy the women's lifelong friendship, while Ethan, Rachel's confidant, harbors a potentially explosive secret of his own." credit

**I can't believe I just watched this for the first time a couple weeks ago because this movie is amazing (also a chick flick)! There's a lot of humor but also life lessons intertwined into the storyline which I always appreciate.
